Well, that escalated quickly. Chris Brown took his feud with Tinashe to the next level by slamming her looks, calling her a “16 year old hobbit face ass” in a heated Instagram comment.
Bad blood first started brewing between the “Loyal” crooner, 26, and Tinashe, 23, when the up-and-coming R&B songstress unfollowed Brown on social media after he told fellow musician Kehlani to “stop flexing for the Gram” following her apparent suicide attempt.
Brown, who assisted Tinashe on her latest single, “Player,” seemed to take aim at his former collaborator for siding with Kehlani by writing on Instagram: “Notice that I’m not the one asking to get on anyone’s record, this is them thinking they are standing up for something.”
Tinashe brushed off Brown’s comments in an April 5 interview with 106 KMEL’s Shay Diddy.
“I felt like it was just so unnecessary,” she said of Brown’s post. “I just think it’s silly. Petty … It’s not even worth it, it’s not a big deal to me. I don’t think that follows on Twitter are a big deal. If I see him, I would love to speak to him. I would love if he would reach out. I have absolutely nothing against him. We’re on good terms, as far as I knew.”
Although the “2 On” singer took the high road by downplaying their beef, Brown blasted her by posting a slew of hurtful (and somewhat incoherent) insults.
“I hope she talked about ‘HER’ career for most of this interview ‘WHOISHAE’ TINASHAE,” he clapped back in a now-deleted Instagram comment that was screenshotted by Baller Alert. “I hope they rehearsing for those performance (power 106 charity basketball game halftime show) give her credit though, 30 16 year old hobbit face ass. WE WANT MUSIC, WE WANT MUSIC, WE WANT MUSIC!! TEACH ME HOW TO JERK FACE ASS.”
While she never intended to create a rift with Brown, Tinashe’s past comments about the once-troubled star seem to indicate that there is no love lost between the two.
On March 11, she told ET Canada she was forced into making music with Brown. “It was really the label,” she said. “It wasn’t me.”
