Looks… familiar! On-again, off-again couple Minka Kelly and Chris Evans fueled speculation about a rekindling of their relationship after they were photographed spending some quality time together over Labor Day weekend.
The Friday Night Lights actress, 35, and Captain America hunk, 34, stepped out together for a leisurely stroll with their dogs in L.A.’s West Hollywood nabe on Saturday, Sept. 5. The action star dressed in jeans and a bicep-baring T-shirt, while Kelly dressed in some athleisure-wear and flip-flops.
At one point, the duo exchanged a spirited high-five and laughed as they walked closely beside each other with their pets.
The sighting is familiar for fans of the couple, who share a long and complex romantic history. The two first started dating in 2007 and broke up that same year. Five years after their split, in September 2012, they rekindled the spark between them — only to split for a second time in October 2013.
An insider revealed to Us Weekly at the time that distance was a factor in their breakup. “It didn’t make sense for them to be together right now,” one source told Us, adding that the two parted on friendly terms. The same insider noted: “They still care about each other.”
In the interim, Evans attempted last June to pursue Sandra Bullock, who is currently dating hot photographer Bryan Randall. He went on to briefly date Lily Collins this past spring, as was exclusively revealed by Us Weekly.
Kelly, meanwhile, was treated to a pricey birthday dinner this past June by a then-newly single Sean Penn. Prior to Evans, she was in a long-term relationship with former Yankee Derek Jeter.
