She found her happy ending! Bachelor alum Whitney Bischoff is engaged to her boyfriend, Ricky Angel. The infertility nurse made the announcement via Instagram on Friday, July 22.
“Whitney Angel has a nice ring to it, yall! 💍@rickyrange16,” Bischoff, 31, captioned a black-and-white photo, by Caroline Carter, of the future spouses. In the pic, Bischoff is beaming while showing off her gorgeous diamond ring.
The Chicago resident was previously engaged to season 19 Bachelor Chris Soules. The Iowa farmer, 34, popped the question during the ABC series last year. The couple announced their split in May 2015, two months after the finale aired.
“Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement,” the pair told Us Weekly in a joint statement at the time. “They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”
In October 2015, Bischoff told Us that she was ready for love again. “I’m just casually dating,” she revealed at the Bachelor and Bachelorette Thursday Night Football event at Tacos & Tequila in Cabazon, California. “I don’t know that I have a specific person that I’m looking for. I think that in general it’s someone who makes me a better person, makes me happy, makes me laugh, and shares a common interest, so I don’t know if there’s a big stereotype with that.”
Of Soules, she added, “I think that it’s important that we maintain our friendship, and I love that we were able to end things cordially. We went through something very unique, and I think that we’ll have a friendship for the rest of our lives.”
Soules, who is currently single, continues to live in his home state. That same month, he told Us that he and Bischoff are still on good terms. “We’re still friends and we catch up regularly,” he said. “She’s doing great.”
