Christina Hendricks: Don’t Call Me “Full-Figured”

Don't ever call Christina Hendricks full-figured.

The Mad Men actress nearly stopped an interview with Australian's Sun-Herald when her interviewer, Kate Waterhouse, asked her, "You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story that you can remember where you've inspired someone?"

Hendricks, 37, gave an uncomfortable giggle, shook her head and said, "I don't know. . . I'm sorry." She then looked off to the side (presumably at her publicist), who told Waterhouse to rephrase the question.

"You're been known as an inspiration for women as being a full-figure…" Waterhouse started, but Hendricks interrupted, "You just said it again!"

Waterhouse was then asked to stay away from body questions, and switched gears to asking about the Specsavers 2012 Spectable Wearer of the Year competition Hendricks was attending.

The Sun-Herald reports that Hendricks explained off camera, "I think calling me full-figured is just rude."

Hendricks, who celebrates her 3-year anniversary with husband Geoffrey Arend on Oct. 11, has been very open about her famous curves in the past. "If there's anything to be learned from me it's that I'm learning to celebrate what I was born with, even though it's sometimes been inconvenient," she told the Daily Mail in May 2011. "Having larger breasts has made it harder for me to shop throughout the years, but I've learned to love it."
