Country singer Rory Feek and his children have made headlines over the years amid family drama.
In 2024, Rory’s two eldest children — daughters Heidi and Hopie — took legal action against him and claimed that he cut them off from contacting his youngest daughter, Indiana. The details surrounding the filing are not publicly shared because Indiana, who has down syndrome, is a minor. The legal proceedings remain ongoing.
Two years later, Rory publicly shared that Indiana would undergo open-heart surgery. Heidi, for her part, criticized her father for his “ongoing exploitation” of Indiana. While opening up about her own estrangement from her father, Hopie said via Instagram she “love[s]” Rory and “always will” — but she feels that “mistakes were made” during her childhood and she wants “it to be different for Indy.” (A rep for Rory declined to give a comment about Heidi and Hopie’s statements when contacted by Us Weekly at the time.)
