Southern Charm’s Craig Conover is looking forward to becoming a dad one day.
“My ideal situation would be to meet someone, travel the world with them for like a year, and then get married, and then after we did everything, bring babies into it and travel with them,” Conover, 37, said during the Thursday, October 15, episode of the “Sorry We’re Cyrus” podcast.
“Like, I get baby fever the most in airports, like seeing the little kids run around,” he added. “I would love to have a big family.”
Conover said he enjoys “being around his friends’ kids,” noting that they’re “always welcome” at his house.
Though Conover is single right now, he teased to Bravo Insider that fans will see him enter a new chapter in Southern Charm season 12, premiering November 12.
“I think the viewers will get to see a 38-year-old who would love to have a family one day, and share his life with [a family] one day, starting to face these challenges of like, do you settle because you want a family?” he told the outlet. “Or do you keep living your life hoping it will work out or that you’ll find your person? So I think there are more conversations that this generation is having with themselves where people are single later in life now. But not based on not wanting to settle down.”
The reality star has been in several relationships throughout the show’s history, including with costar Naomie Olindo, whom he dated for about three years before their split in 2017. He was also linked to Natalie Hegnauer from late 2020 to 2021 and Kristin Cavallari in 2021.
Most recently, Conover dated Summer House star Paige DeSorbo from 2021 to 2024.
During his podcast appearance on Thursday, Conover admitted that it’s “neat” that he will “meet a different person now than I would have in the past, because I’m so much different, or more of myself, so who knows what it looks like?”
Conover was already thinking about family plans during his relationship with DeSorbo, 33. During a January 2025 episode of Southern Charm, the Sewing Down South cofounder revealed that he had frozen his sperm to have kids in a few years.
“I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is like, probably like, a, whatever it’s called when it has to happen in my future,” he said at the time.
Conover added, “The version of life that I saw myself living isn’t what I’m living, which is like this stable home that I grew up in. Every night at dinner, my mom and dad were there and my brother. And I just loved that. But I think if you find the right person and they happen to be a feisty Italian from New York, things aren’t always going to go how you have them planned.”
