Well, that’s one way to make a lasting impression! Daniel Radcliffe sat down with Playboy magazine to answer 20 questions, and admitted that the first time he and girlfriend Erin Darke flirted was when they were filming a sex scene as costars in 2013's Kill Your Darlings.
“That’s a wonderful record of us flirting for the first time,” he told the magazine of his and Darke’s rather intimate scene while filming on set in 2012. “There’s no acting going on — not from my end, anyway.”
“There’s a moment when she makes me laugh, and I’m laughing as me and not as my character,” he added. “She was incredibly funny and smart. I knew I was in trouble.”
Radcliffe, 26, and Darke, 30, have been dating since they first met on the set of drama about writers William S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, and other scribes, though they kept their romance largely under wraps until 2014, when they were spotted getting cozy at an afterparty in NYC following the Tonys in June.
“They have great chemistry,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly at the time, adding that the pair was “inseparable.”
The former Harry Potter actor has been vocal about his love for Darke since going public with their romance.
“I think that’s the kind of relationship I always aspire to have with someone I’m in a relationship with,” he told Us in August 2014. “You want that person to be your best friend. In the case of Erin, we definitely are.”
Radcliffe previously dated Laura O’Toole, his costar in Broadway’s Equus in 2009, and was once rumored to be dating Olive Uniacke, the stepdaughter of a Harry Potter producer.
Most recently, the Victor Frankenstein actor dated Rosie Coker, a set painter on the final two Harry Potter films, for about a year before they called it quits in 2012.
