David Beckham has zero time for haters. Victoria Beckham’s hunk of a husband, 40, shut down the Daily Mail when the site published a story criticizing his parenting after daughter Harper, 4, was photographed with a pacifier in her mouth. In the site’s Aug. 9 post, they cite parenting expert Clare Byam-Cook, who states that the Beckhams are “putting Harper’s wellbeing at risk” by allowing her use of a pacifier past the age of 12 months.
“Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts ?? Everybody who has children knows that when they aren't feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it's a pacifier so those who criticize think twice about what you say about other people's children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent…” the dad of four captioned a screen shot of Daily Mail’s article, which argued that Harper’s use of a pacifier could result in “speech or dental issues,” on Instagram on Monday, Aug. 10.
One person who knows how good of a dad David is, however, is his wife Victoria. Following their 16th wedding anniversary last month, the Spice Girl alum gave the former soccer pro a shout-out for their picture-perfect brood.
“Happy anniversary, I love u so much x I'm so proud of our beautiful family x,” the fashion designer, 41, tagged an Instagram of herself with David and their kids Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10, and Harper.
David gave his wife a much more permanent tribute. The Brit got the number 99 tattooed on his pinky finger in honor of their wedding year. “99 was a good year for me…” he captioned his Instagram post on July 22, also giving his eldest son Brooklyn, who was born in March 1999, a nod.
