What ever happened to pulling a rabbit out of a hat? David Blaine spit out live frogs during a magic trick on his new TV special, “David Blaine: Beyond Magic,” and it totally freaked out special guests Drake, Dave Chappelle, Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler.
During the hour-long ABC special, which aired Tuesday, November 15, the 43-year-old magician asked Chappelle, 43, to draw “a small creature that could fit in the palm of Drake’s hand” using an app on his iPhone.
“To me, this looks a little bit like a frog. You know, frogs are like the plague,” Blaine explained to his group of A-list pals as he looked at the comedian’s drawing. Wondering what was coming next, Drake, 30, repeatedly looked around the room and up at the ceiling for a sign.
Then, the illusionist grabbed a nearby glass of water and regurgitated a live frog into it as the celebrities around him nearly lost their minds. Blaine handed the glass over to the “Sneakin'” rapper, who reluctantly grabbed it after saying, “I don’t want that” with a look of disgust on his face.
After spitting out a second frog, Blaine asked the Golden State Warriors star, 28, to check if his mouth was empty. Seconds later, the magician expelled a third frog from his mouth, sending the stars into yet another screaming fit.
Blaine performed the same trick, which he calls “the Human Aquarium,” last week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, much to the disbelief of Fallon and The Roots.
