It looks like BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are on the outs again.
During an appearance on What What Happens Live Thursday, Demi gave a brief, but telling response about the current status her 10-year friendship with Selena. In July, the "Really Don't Care" singer cut ties with Gomez, 22, on social media.
"You recently unfollowed your BFF Selena Gomez on Twitter. So much speculation about this," host Andy Cohen noted. "Can you tell us why?"
"I plead the sixth if that's in the game," Lovato, 21, replied (she previously plead the fifth when asked the most scandalous thing she's ever seen a Disney star do). "I think its just one of those things where people change and people grow apart."
"One of those things" just might be Justin Bieber.
Selena and Justin have been on-again, off-again for, well, ever, and reportedly a lot of her friends and family disapprove of their relationship. The "Confident" singer has been said to be a bad influence on the Disney alum, but in June, Jelena began dating again.
Lovato's feelings about Bieber (and Simon Cowell) became crystal clear when Cohen asked her to play a game of "Shag, Marry, Kill" pitting the Biebs against her former fellow X Factor judge Simon and her ex Joe Jonas.
"I'd kill Bieber. I'd kill Simon. F–k, I'd kill Joe, too!" she quipped, before ultimately saving one. "No, Joe and I are good friends, so I wouldn't kill him. I'd keep him around."
When Jessica Alba, who was also a guest last night, asked, "Who would you shag?" Lovato firmly stated: "None."
"We're really, really close," Lovato told Ryan Seacrest the next day. "And any advice I had for her, we talked last night and it's between us. But I love her so much."
Who knows… maybe the love will be found again (if Bieber is ever out of the picture).
