Demi Lovato might be Latina, but the singer-actress is far from fluent in the romance language!
Tuesday night, the 19-year-old was asked on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon whether she spoke Spanish. "Not at all!" she replied honestly. "I've memorized songs in Spanish before. I had a song called 'Lo Que Soy' which is 'This Is Me' in Spanish… I decided to sing the song half [in] English, half [in] Spanish. But my brain like would not memorize it, the day before, I was like I might need a teleprompter!"
"While I'm gliding through fog in a tight, red dress, I'm reading a teleprompter, trying to look graceful just praying to God that I don't fall in my dress," the "Skyscraper" songstress told Fallon, 37.
Earlier this month, Lovato was awarded Favorite TV Actress for her role on Sonny With A Chance at the ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) Awards. "YAYY! I can't believe it!" she tweeted afterwards. "Thank you guys so much!"
