Denise Richards marked daughter Eloise’s 15th birthday with sweet family photos and a heartfelt message.
“I can’t believe 15 yrs old already,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 55, gushed in her caption via Instagram Reels on Monday, May 25. “Having a special needs child in a lot of ways gets more challenging with me worrying more about her future the older she gets.”
In the montage clip, Eloise rocked a pink dress as well as a matching cowboy hat and boots as she posed for a photo shoot, as well as enjoyed quality time making memories with her family.
Richards’ youngest daughter was diagnosed with a deletion in chromosome 8 in 2016, known as Chromosome 8, Monosomy 8p. The rare genetic disorder can cause varying degrees of developmental delays, including intellectual disabilities and physical abnormalities.
“My mom always had said, a special needs child is an angel from God and Eloise is the biggest Angel with the biggest selfless heart,” the Bravolebrity continued in her caption. “I’m so proud of her strength and kindness.”
She concluded, while referencing the single “HUNTR/X” from the Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters, “I’m so grateful for her older sisters, my friends who are my family, and my dad who is the best Grandpa & father figure for Eloise. Always there for her, no matter what. We 🫶 you girlie! Happy birthday weezy 🙏💛✨🎂 oh and she loves this song💫🌟🤩.”
The actress shares Eloise with ex Aaron Phypers, whom she was married to from 2018 to 2025. Richards is also the proud mom of daughters Lola, 20, and Sami, 22, with ex Charlie Sheen.
Richards adopted Eloise when she was a single mom in 2011. Phypers, 53, began the process of legally adopting Eloise shortly after their nuptials.
“We found out [about her chromosome condition] probably two years ago,” she shared during the RHOBH Season 9 reunion, which aired in July 2019. “It was a very difficult thing to diagnose. It was really hard. When I saw what was written on the medical report to get the blood test and all the testing done, it was hard to see it in black and white. It’s just hard to see with your kid, you know.”
Richards previously told People earlier that year that Eloise “wasn’t able to sit up on her own for a very long time, and she didn’t start walking until she was 2, and that was with physical therapy.”
Despite experiencing and overcoming various hardships along the way, the Wild Things actress said she felt confident that all of her girls would have a bright future ahead.
“Every child is different,” she said at the time. “You take care of your children no matter what is going on with them. I don’t know if [Eloise] is ever going to talk like a typical child. But as a parent, you want what’s best for your children, and you just do it.”
