Dina Lohan: Lindsay Wants to Open Her Own Rehab Centers

Dina Lohan gave a status report on daughter Lindsay's extended stay at rehab.The troubled actress, 24, is "happy, relaxed," at the Betty Ford Center Dina, 48, told Matt Lauer on The Today Show Monday.

"The Betty Ford Center is just an amazing place," she gushed, calling it a "life-changing" experience.

It's the fifth time in rehab for Lindsay, but her mom is cautiously hopeful that this time could be the last. "We'll take it one day at a time," Dina said. "I don't have a crystal ball. I pray hard."

But her famous daughter has new ambitions of her own. "She wants to start her own facilities, help other children," Dina said. "She's so public, we can only be positive and look to the future to help other families."

Lohan is due to stay in rehab – she's out of the center and "in a home," said her mom – until Jan. 3. Lauer pointed out that last time Lindsay got out early. Might that happen again?

Lindsay is scheduled to stay the famous center until Jan. 3, but has often ended other rehab stints early. "Lindsay wants to stay," Dina said. "She's learning the trigger points and why she turns to something – drugs or addiction."
