DJ Qualls is accusing a Vancouver police officer of brutality.

The 33-year-old actor, best known for his roles in Road Trip and The New Guy, posted a series of tweets early Saturday morning detailing his bloody brush with the law.

"Just got out of the ER. I was beaten by a Vancouver police offer for no reason. I got stitches and was released," he wrote. "I was not arrested because I was innocent. I was handcuffed and bleeding while the cop kept saying to me, 'You think you're f–king better than me?'"

According to Qualls, the altercation began when he "saw a dude punch a girl" outside of a cafe. "When all were arrested, I saw the guy who punched the girl and told the officer," he recalled. "He said if I didn't get out of there, he'd arrest me. I asked why and he tackled me, busted my face and handcuffed me."

Qualls said he repeatedly asked for the officer's badge number but was rebuffed; the officer also allegedly "taunted" Qualls for 30 minutes before the ambulance arrived.

"I was beaten, detained and released to an ambulance because I was bleeding and drew a crowd who recognized me," Qualls told his less than 8,000 Twitter followers.

Qualls said he wants a formal apology from officer Brian Trklja and the Vancouver Police Department; he is also asking to be reimbursed for his $800 hospital bill.

Despite the scuffle, Qualls still has love for the Great White North.

"I love Canada," he tweeted. "I've had so much fun here and have many Canadian fans and good friends. I'm not letting one bad night change that."
