I don't always violate the HOV lane law…but when I do, I get a $124 ticket! We'll give him an A for creativity! ???????? pic.twitter.com/hNbQDuBWfc

He just couldn't stay in his own lane! A driver in Fife, Wash., wanted to use the HOV lane so badly, that he figured out one heck of an interesting way to do it.
Armed with a life-size cardboard cutout of Jonathan Goldsmith, the actor who appears as the "Most Interesting Man" in Dos Equis ads, the creative driver attempted to use the carpool lane Monday, March 23. Spotted by a motorcycle trooper who thought the man's passenger looked a little stiff, the Fife driver was pulled over and issued an "A" for effort — and a $124 traffic ticket.
Trooper Guy Gill told local news affiliate KOMO that the busted driver revealed of the cutout: "He's my best friend."
Gill ticketed the driver, but did not confiscate his BFF.
Featured in a variety of Dos Equis ads, Goldsmith — whose blood is said to smell like cologne — can be seen riding waves, chasing bears, and shooting pool.
