Drake Bell was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Glendale, California, on Monday, December 21, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The former Nickelodeon star, 29, was pulled over around 2:20 a.m. by police. According to Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot, Bell was swerving and speeding after he abruptly stopped at a red light.
Furthermore, a police officer smelled the odor of alcohol coming from the star’s car. Bell, who reportedly filed for bankruptcy, was arrested after he failed a sobriety test.
In addition, TMZ reports that he was driving 55 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone. He was locked up for nearly 10 hours before posting bail at $20,000.
Bell is best known for playing Drake in Drake & Josh from 2004 to 2007. He also starred opposite Amanda Bynes in The Amanda Show from 1999 to 2001.
