Drake is on a roll! Just hours after declaring his love for Rihanna at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28, he took to Instagram to continue praising his rumored girlfriend.
The Canadian rapper kissed the stunning singer in a late-night selfie he posted on social media after the awards show.
“This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us!” he captioned the shot. “You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you! @badgalriri”
His 27.3 million followers went crazy over his cute snap and littered the comments section with heart emojis and happy messages.
The couple have never actually confirmed they’re dating, which is why his heartfelt VMAs speech was so surprising.
Drake, 29, was close to tears when he presented Rihanna, 28, with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Watch the super-sweet moment in the video above!
He gushed about her music, her personality and her ability to stay grounded, before he declared his love for her.

“We love the music, which could change styles from album to album,” he said. “We love the videos, which change their artistic vision from year to year. But most of all, we love the woman who hasn’t changed since day one. She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old. She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me.”
Fans were convinced he was then going to propose, and excitedly took to Twitter anticipating the romantic gesture.
Drake didn’t get down on one knee, but the pair did share a kiss for the cameras.
