Elon Musk’s ex Ashley St. Clair is opening up about her life as a single mom, revealing she felt as though she didn’t have a chance at marriage after having Musks’ 14th child.
“At that point in my life, because I’m involved in MAGA and the right wing and I’m already a single mom. The chances of me getting married and the white picket fence and the white dress, I believed that was out the window for me because I was already ‘stained’ as a single mom,” the former conservative influencer, 27, said in a TikTok video uploaded on Friday, May 15. “But, I wanted nothing more than to be a mom. I wanted more kids.”
St. Clair was already had a son from a previous relationship before she connected with Musk in 2023.
“The prospect of being with someone who wanted to have more kids and I wouldn’t have to worry about … it’s difficult being a single mom,” she reflected. “It’s difficult working and wondering if you’re going to be able to pay the bills for your kids [in] the next month.”
St. Clair claimed that Musk was encouraging of her desires to have more children before they welcomed son Romulus in September 2024.
“So, when Elon was like, ‘You should have kids, my only limited resource is time,’ of course, it is appealing to do what I always wanted to be a mom and not have to worry about the s**t going on in this economy,” she said in the video. “I don’t think that’s a crazy position to take, I don’t think that’s crazy reasoning.”
However, after St. Clair was pregnant with Romulus, things allegedly got “weird” between St. Clair and Musk.
“No one’s going to believe me, but I swear he was so much more normal before I got pregnant,” she claimed. “It was a very normal conversation. His demeanor was normal. I know I’m going to get roasted for this, but in private, he was funny. He just got so f**king weird, man.”
Five months after giving birth, St. Clair revealed that Musk was the father of her second son.
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” St. Clair wrote via X in February 2025. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
In addition to Romulus, Musk is father of 13 other children whom he shares with three additional women. The Tesla founder shares twins Vivian and Griffin and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian with ex-wife Justine Wilson. The exes were also parents to son Nevada who died at 10 weeks old. Musk shares sons X Æ A-12 and Techno as well as daughter Exa with singer Grimes. He also shares twins Strider and Azure, daughter Arcadia and son Seldon with Shivon Zilis.
