Emma Stone can’t help herself! Though she is usually quiet about her relationship with her boyfriend and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 costar Andrew Garfield, Stone couldn’t keep from gushing about the actor on Good Morning America.
Stone, 25, stopped by GMA this week to promote the superhero flick, and raved about her leading man. “It’s like a dream to work with him,” she said. “He’s obviously one of the greatest actors, I think, we have alive today.”
“He’s also just a remarkable human being,” Stone continued. “I love him very much.”
Earlier in the week, Garfield, 30, gave his own words of affection about Stone. He told GMA, “I think everyone who works with her, everyone who brushes shoulders with her or even makes eye contact with her gets a shot of sunshine.”
He went on to call the Gangster Squad actress a “genius,” and added that he is going to write a book one day about how he feels about his girlfriend.
The pair met during the auditions for 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and hit it off in the subsequent months. Us Weekly broke the news that the costars were a couple in June 2011.
“We got on really well as people, in between [takes],” Garfield said in June 2012. “That was the fun stuff: In between, we’d just mess around and I felt, ‘Ah, this is different.’ I wasn’t really aware of what was happening in the screen test. She keeps you on your toes and that wakes you up. That was the beginning.”
