Campaign pals!
Eva Longoria and Jessica Alba showed their support for President Barack Obama by attending the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday.
Alba, 31, snapped a photo with Longoria, 37, and shared it with her Twitter followers, writing, “With miss Eva Longoria at DNC 2012.” The actress also shared an adorable photo with husband Cash Warren overlooking the convention with simple caption, “With the hubbs at DNC 2012.” The ladies dressed up for the evening in classic little black dresses and both wore their hair up.
Happy to bump into Alba at the convention, actor Zach Braff tweeted a photo with Sin City star and joked, “Being a Democrat has its perks.”
In February, Longoria was named one of the 35 national co-chairs in Obama’s re-election campaign. She is scheduled to speak at the convention on Thursday.
“I’ve been very, very nervous. But it’s a good nervous, it’s exciting. It’s the biggest stage I’ve ever been on and probably the most important,” Longoria told POLITICO on Tuesday. “I’m excited to be able to be part of [Obama’s] vision for moving the country forward and to represent a section of America that he is fighting for –- that being I’m a woman, I’m Hispanic, I grew up in the lower middle class, I’ve achieved the American Dream.”
