Life is pretty good for Eva Longoria. The Telenovela star is looking forward to settling down with fiancé José “Pepe” Bastón and moving into their new $11.4 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
In an exclusive interview in the new issue of Us Weekly, the Desperate Housewives alum, who got engaged to Bastón in Dubai in December, says her fiance “really raised the bar for every man” with his romantic proposal.
But while a lot of planning went into the proposal, the lovebirds haven’t firmed up their wedding details, but that could be because their focus is on renovating their new home in the Hollywood Hills.
The estate perched above Laurel Canyon used to belong to Tom Cruise. It sits on almost three acres and features a main house and a second guest house, as well as a heated swimming pool.
“I know Tom, he’s a lovely person,” Longoria says. “He did a very, very good job on this house because it was stunning and beautiful, and the minute we walked in I was like, ‘This, this is a home.'”
