Back to Wisteria Lane! Eva Longoria reunited with her Desperate Housewives on-screen lover Jesse Metcalfe on Sunday, Aug. 23, and she still likes him all the same.
“Look who I ran into today!” Longoria, 40, wrote on Instagram, alongside a snap of her handsome former costar. “My favorite gardner [sic]!!!! #DesperateHousewives #OneOfMyFavPeople.”
Longoria and Metcalfe skyrocketed to fame on Desperate Housewives, which aired for eight seasons from October 2004 to May 2012.
In Season 1 of the series, Metcalfe played John Rowland, a hunky gardener who strikes up an affair with bored housewife Gabby Solis (Longoria). Their steamy time together was cut short at the end of the season after Rowland told Gabby’s husband about the betrayal, but he did return for future guest appearances.
Like his former costar, Metcalfe was equally enthused to reunite on Sunday at the LG Fam-to-Table Series: ProBake Edition event in L.A.’s Culver City neighborhood. “So great seeing #oneofMYfavoritepeople yesterday!” Metcalfe, 36, wrote on Instagram, alongside a pic with Longoria and his girlfriend, Cara Santana. “Thanks for having us.”
In real life, Longoria said she likes it when her boyfriend, Jose Antonio Baston, eats healthy. Speaking to Us at the same event, the actress said the businessman is a big fan of her cooking. “Everything. He likes my breakfasts,” she boasted. “I change it up. He’s a healthy eater, so I usually do like a rice cake, breakfast sandwich. Like a rice cake with avocado with a fried egg.”
She also shared with Us what she looks for in a significant other. “I love anybody who cares for an animal, because I think animals really are high maintenance,” Longoria said on Sunday. “If there’s a guy who’s actually responsible for another being that’s a good sign, that he’s somewhat normal.”
