Ronald Shane Modica is speaking out about his ex-wife Michelle "Bombshell" McGee and her alleged affair with Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James.

Modica — who unsuccessfully filed emergency court papers last Friday for full custody of Avery, his 5-year-old son with McGee — says that his own marriage suffered as a result of his wife's preoccupation with the Monster Garage star.

"We had problems during our marriage because of her obsession with Jesse James," Modica tells The Insider. "I once walked into the salon that she owned and she had our wedding photo up there on her mirror and there was a cut out picture of Jesse James' face over my face." (The interview airs Monday and Tuesday night on The Insider.)

The ex-husband also explains that James' affair with McGee began in May 2009 — and that McGee made inflammatory accusations about James' and Bullock's union.

"According to Michelle, [Sandra and Jesse] had this big thing going on where they were going to announce their divorce on a certain timeline and she was going to be the next woman," Modica says.

"Michelle would tell me, 'You don't know what's going on. [Sandra] is in another country. They are not even together. They live in separate places. She doesn't help out with the kids'," he said, referring to Bullock's relationship with James' three children from prior relationships.

"'All this is fabricated. They are under some kind of a contract.'" McGee allegedly said.

In court papers Friday, Modica begged for immediate custody of Avery, 5, in the wake of his ex's involvement with the James/Bullock scandal. "I need protection for my son," Modica said in the documents. "If [Michelle] sees Avery, she will bring these curiosity seekers and glory hounds down on herself and Avery, totally confusing and frankly scaring him."

He added in the legal papers, "I will not continue to expose him to the kind of life Michelle desires and seeks: full on, pornographic, party all the time." The judge denied Modica's emergency request, but the couple are scheduled to meet in court on May 12 to revise the terms of custody and visitation.
