Fergie on Therapy With Josh Duhamel: “He Doesn’t Feel Like He’s Not Man Enough”

Fergie says husband Josh Duhamel has embraced going to therapy with her, telling Allure that he "doesn't feel like he's not man enough" because of it

Fergie and Josh Duhamel may have celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary this month, but their marriage doesn't come without some work.

In the new issue of Allure, the Black Eyed Peas singer, 39, opened up about how she and the actor, 42, have embraced therapy and attend regular sessions. Duhamel is "not afraid" of it, she explained, adding, "He doesn't feel like he's not man enough" for therapeutic help.

The couple has also set marriage rules in order to make their jet-setting lifestyles work. "My husband and I made a two-week rule," the "L.A. Love (La La)" singer said. "We've already talked about how were going to have to trade off. … He's going to have to come on tour with Axl for a while, and then there'll be a break. He'll take a job; I'll be on set with Axl. You know?"

Fergie's Style Timeline

Case in point: Josh, who stars in the upcoming CBS drama, Battle Creek, visited Fergie during her Allure cover shoot and brought Axl, 16 months, along, too.

Duhamel and Fergie met on set of Las Vegas in 2004 and following their encounter, the actor boldly told a reporter that he then had a vivid dream about her.

"Yeah, yeah, exactly — he wanted to get in my pants," Fergie joked to the magazine, amused. But their relationship quickly turned more serious. "We just grew. And we grew into realizing that we wanted the same things in life. We wanted the same path. We both come from Catholic families."

The duo clearly has quite the share-all relationship, too.

"I mean, he's walked in on me during my bikini waxing, and I'm like, 'Okay honey, hi,'" she recalled, laughing. "I'm on all fours, but he doesn't just leave; he gets curious."

Fergie and Josh will soon put their two-week rule to the test as the singer is set to release her second solo album this year.

Actresses Bare All for Allure

"Did I feel some sort of pressure to come back out? I felt that it was either going to be another baby or an album. And I had to decide which one first," she explained. "How long can you hold on to a song for?"

The February issue of Allure hits newsstands on Jan. 27.
