Team Ariana! Frankie Grande is standing behind his younger half-sister, Ariana Grande, in the wake of her donut-licking scandal. The YouTube star and TV personality, 32, was nothing but positive about his sis when talking to Us Weekly at the BeautyCon LA Festival on Saturday, July 11, in Los Angeles.

“I am proud of her apology, and that she has done it,” Frankie tells Us. “I just hope that we can all move forward from here.”

This isn’t the first time Frankie has stood up for Ariana. On Friday, July 10, he took to Twitter to lend his support, writing, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her. #WeForgiveYouAriana. U made a mistake & r being JUDGED very HARSHLY for it but ur doing the right thing in the face of it & I’m so proud.”

It all started when TMZ released a security camera video of the pop singer, 22, earlier this week visiting Wolfee Donuts late on July 4 with backup dancer Ricky Alvarez and some friends.

After declaring, “I hate Americans. I hate America!,” Ariana was also filmed licking and spitting on some of the shop’s un-purchased donuts that later went to customers.

The “Love Me Harder” singer released a public statement, clarifying that she was, in fact, proud to be an American while also condemning the way Americans eat. But after that was also criticized, the Nickelodeon alum shared a sincere YouTube video, directly apologizing for her actions.

The incident is also being investigated by the police and the Environmental Health department.
