After suffering a near-death experience that put him in a coma, Christian YouTuber Gabe Poirot claims he spent 17 days in heaven, met Jesus and is describing what he claims is the Christian God’s son’s appearance.
“Now with every single person I meet, I tell them of the love of Christ and that he did it all for them,” Poirot, 25, said in an interview with Fox News back in September that recently went viral on social media. “He died and rose again.”
In October 2021, Poirot suffered a catastrophic traumatic brain injury after he flipped backwards off an electric skateboard while traveling around 30 mph without a helmet.
Poirot cracked his skull, sending him into an 18-day coma. When he awoke from the coma, he claimed he came face-to-face with Jesus. However, from Poirot’s perspective, the version of Jesus he allegedly met didn’t match “other testimonies.”
“They didn’t meet a female Jesus. They didn’t meet a soft or passive Jesus. Jesus is a man and especially in America, he’s been misrepresented,” Poirot claimed in his recently-viral interview. “There’s so many cultural things that present him as if he’s just some tolerant guy. It’s not the Jesus I met. He’s a lion. But he’s not a lion angry against me, he’s a lion angry for me. He’s a mustang on my behalf. He did it all for me.”
Poirot claimed that the Christian Jesus looked like “pure fire” and had an impressive figure.
“He was 5’11, like six feet yet as tall as eternity. Like an ocean of love,” he alleged. “Yet his eyes were burning white and red at the same time. Talk about testosterone, [built] like a mustang. I’m telling you. He’s the Lion of Judah. And there’s a roar within his voice.”
Poirot’s comments went viral online and as several social media users voiced their confusion over his unconventional remarks.
“Translation: while I was in a coma I dreamt about a buff, muscly man,” one user quipped via X, while another replied, “He describes Jesus as ‘pure fire’ ?? [I] don’t know if you met Jesus pal?!”
In addition to speaking about his near-death experience on Fox News, Poirot has shared his description of his alleged, other-wordly experience via his YouTube channel, which boasts more than 2 million subscribers at the time of publication. He also has a TikTok page with more than 1.7 million followers.
Poirot also recounted the accident and his coma experience in his memoir, 18 Days in Heaven: I Left My Body. I Met Jesus. What He Told Me Will Alter Your Eternity, which was released earlier this year.
