New details have emerged surrounding influencer Gaby Sanarrucia Chavarría death.
Argentina-based news outlet La Nación cited Costa Rican authorities and reported that Chavarría was shot dead on Saturday, July 4. She was 28.
The influencer was sleeping next to her boyfriend inside their La Cruz, Costa Rica, home at the time of her death. Chavarría’s boyfriend was also killed.
Chavarría rose to fame online sharing glimpses of her life with her more than 100,000 fans across Instagram and TikTok. Her TikTok bio read, “My family, my greatest blessing 😍🇨🇷.”

Outlets reported that multiple intruders allegedly broke into the couple’s home before firing bullets at both Chavarría and Jose Isaac Agüero. People reported on Monday, July 6, that local authorities said “after the killing, suspects fled the home and allegedly burned a white vehicle.”

The influencer’s final TikTok on Friday, July 3, appeared to be a throwback clip of her cuddling up to her daughter as the little one spoke to the camera. “When did you grow up so much, my baby,” Chavarría captioned the video.
Fans shared their condolences in the comments section. “Now the little girl is all alone 😭 without her mom,” one user wrote in a translated message, while another added, “Oh my God, I feel so sorry for the poor little girl, she’s left without her mother, such an innocent child 🥺.” A third wrote, “May you rest in peace 🤍🌹.”
Chavarría also shared a series of images to Instagram on June 28, featuring pics of her daughter and Agüero. In one photo, the influencer was dressed in lingerie while she sat on a throne as her boyfriend held onto her bare leg and looked into her eyes.
