Gigi Hadid Does Melania Trump Impression at 2016 AMAs — See Twitter’s Reaction

Oh, snap. Gigi Hadid mocked Melania Trump during the opening of the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 20. The awards show cohost offered her best impression of the future first lady while poking fun at Melania’s RNC speech. Watch the talked-about moment in the video above!

“This is my Melania Trump impression. I have to get the face right,” the model told the audience before turning around, duckface in place and smizing intensely at the camera.

“I love my husband, President Barack Obama, and our children, Sasha and Malia,” Hadid, 21, said in a thick faux accent resembling the Slovenian former model. (Later on in the opening bit, her fellow host Jay Pharoah fared arguably better with his impression of the Donald.)

As previously reported, POTUS-elect Donald Trump’s wife made headlines after she reportedly plagiarized first lady Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech during the Republican National Convention this past July.

Melania was mocked again when she met Michelle for the first time on Thursday, November 11, at the White House. After having tea with the first lady, Twitter joked about Melania copying everything Mrs. Obama said.
