The sun shined a little less bright on Wednesday, March 25. After One Direction member Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the band, his pal and bandmate Harry Styles broke down in tears while performing in Indonesia.
A fan caught Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend wiping away tears on stage in Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital, on 1D’s On the Road Again Tour, just hours after Malik announced to the world he was leaving the group in an attempt to “be a normal 22-year-old.”
Styles — who, according to a source, learned of Malik’s departure in a phone call yesterday — isn’t alone when it comes to mourning One Direction’s loss.
Teens across the world pretty much freaked out and broke down when they got the news — some while they were in class.
“I had to run to the restroom during class. #ZAYN #mightdie,” one student captioned a Vine of herself crying in the bathroom, while another posted on Twitter: “When ur bio teacher asks if ur okay does it look like im okay zayn malik left one direction.”

#ZaynMalik lived his dream and made the most of it. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. @onedirection #SupportDontHate
