Hillary Clinton should have probably fudged this one a little bit. The 2016 Democratic hopeful revealed on the eve of National Coffee Day that she doesn’t like Starbucks’ beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte drink.

“Hillary — are you a pumpkin spice latte kinda gal?” a woman asked the former Secretary of State via Facebook on Monday, Sept. 28, during an open Q&A. “Ha!” Clinton,67, responded, “The true answer is I used to be until I saw how many calories were in them.”

Well, hell hath no fury like devoted seasonal Starbucks lovers.

“Hillary Clinton Is Dead, Dead Wrong — About Pumpkin Spice Lattes,” the Washington Post wrote following her confession. In the post, the article details that a grande-size PSL with 2 percent milk has 310 calories and seven grams of fat, and that “that’s practically good for you…especially when you consider downing a grande 2 percent Salted Caramel Mocha (360 calories) or a grande 2 percent White Chocolate Mocha (400 calories)."

“Hillary Clinton hates the PSL. Lost my vote,” one voter tweeted on Tuesday, Sept. 29, aka National Coffee Day, while another added, “I don't take Hillary Clinton's advice, so I am going to vote for @marcorubio and continue drinking @Starbucks #psl.”

And because this is politics, after all, the plot thickens — Mediaite pointed out that the PSL questioner was Claire Celsi, one of Clinton’s former staffers.
