“They are really sad but hopeful,” an insider tells Us of the singer and the model, who announced on Friday, November 4, via Facebook that Noah is ill. “They immediately got him very good care and they are hoping and praying for the best. They are getting him the best doctors around. It’s really heartbreaking. This was a real shock, but they are doing everything they can.”

In a statement posted to his Facebook page, Bublé revealed that Noah had recently been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment in the U.S.

“We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children,” their statement read. “Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”

The Grammy winner did not disclose any further details or specify what type of cancer Noah is battling.

“They’re staying positive and Noah is a fighter,” a second source tells Us, adding that the couple, who tied the knot in 2011, have been “inundated with kind wishes today, and that’s really helping.”

Last week — prior to that difficult announcement — the “Nobody But Me” singer, who is also dad of 9-month-old son Eli with Lopilato, spoke with Us Weekly Entertainment Director Ian Drew and discussed his adorable kids.

“The boys are good. They make each other laugh. It is a beautiful feeling,” he told Us, adding that Noah is into singing and that baby Eli is crawling and near walking for the first time.

“[I] just pray that everything stays good and they are happy and healthy and all of that,” he added. “It has given me great perspective. It has helped me to draw a line in the sand and to know that I am defined by being a father and a family man, not by my job. They give me a very clear understanding of what is important to me.”

Noah’s current obsession? Spiderman. “He likes to [pretend to shoot spider] webs,” the proud dad said.
