Paul Walter Hauser is praising his wife, Amy Boland Hauser, as a partner and a mother, revealing exclusively to Us Weekly how she makes him a “better parent” to their three children.
“She just loves the kids so much. There’s nothing she won’t do for them,” he told Us at the Balls Up premiere on Tuesday, April 14, at Los Angeles’ Harmony Gold Theater.
Paul, 39, explained how his and Amy’s parenting styles differ.
“There are times where I have boundaries, or I come to a conclusion. She’s still always digging for the answer on how best to treat the children, how best to steward them, and how best to feed them. No stone unturned as it pertains to being a better parent, and she makes me a better parent,” he shared.

The Emmy-winning actor continued to gush over Amy, insisting she helps him with all major decisions in life.
“She’s awesome. She is a cheerleader, but also a wise mind behind some of my decisions. I make big decisions with her, and she helps me do the right thing. It’s a big deal,” Paul said.
He married Amy in July 2020. The couple have since welcomed three kids: sons Harris, 3, and Jonah, 2, and daughter Isla Grace, who was born in July 2025.
The pair announced in January 2025 that they were expecting another baby by posting a photo of the sonogram with a cream-colored onesie with the words “grand finale” in rainbow letters.
They also included photos of their sons wearing shirts with the phrases “the original” and “the sequel” written on them.
“We’re excited to share that the Hauser Family ‘Grand Finale’ will arrive late summer 2025!” their announcement caption read. “Thank you, Jesus! For this child we have prayed. – 1 Samuel 1:27.”
In May 2025, Paul and Amy revealed they were adding their first daughter to the family.
Amy wore a sparkling pink dress and was surrounded by matching balloons as her husband sat behind her on the stairs in a Hawaiian shirt and pink hat. Their two sons posed wearing matching shirts that read: “Security. Little Sister Protection Squad.”
“When we’re pregnant with a girl, we won’t make a big announcement, but there will be signs! 💕🙌🏼,” Amy captioned the adorable family post.
Months ago, Paul spoke openly about the struggles of being a parent of three.
“Being a dad is the greatest gig in the world, but with 3 kids under the age of 5, all in diapers, it can get fairly chaotic and certainly constant,” he wrote in January. “Acting isn’t a job. It’s a privilege. And when I go to work/the privilege, sometimes I’m gone between 5 days and 3 or 4 weeks, and my wife holds down the fort and does the work of 2 parents. Just a shoutout to my amazing wife.”
Paul is currently starring alongside Mark Wahlberg, Sacha Baron Cohen, Benjamin Bratt, Molly Shannon, Eric André and Larry David in Balls Up.
The comedy film, directed by Peter Farrelly, follows two rival marketing executives who are fired after a disastrous pitch for a condom sponsorship at the World Cup. Despite losing their jobs, they use their free tickets to attend the World Cup Final in Brazil but are forced to outrun chaos to survive when the unthinkable happens.
Balls Up is streaming now on Prime Video.
