Influencer Kaitlin Reagan and her late boyfriend’s best friend, Mirko Mormile, have called it quits one year after confirming their romance.
“It is no secret that Mirko and I broke up. I was never trying to rage bait or do anything malicious,” Reagan said in a Tuesday, May 5, TikTok. “I think, as I said before in the past, when you say things out loud it makes it more true. And this breakup is very hard for me. I’m very hurt. But it needed to happen. I needed to do the hard thing for the both of us. And I will just leave it at that.”
Reagan and Mormile confirmed their relationship in 2025, three years after her boyfriend and his close friend, Francesco LoPresti, died at age 24 after a battle with cancer. Reflecting on her romance with Mormile, Reagan shared on Tuesday that she’s “not in any position to get into details.”
“I also am a protector and I never want to say anything that will change the way you see anybody,” she said. “If anything, I only just tell my story because I just want you to understand my heart. So I’m gonna continue doing that, especially as I navigate this new life change.”
Reagan shared that she filmed the video before leaving for a European vacation with her brother, adding that she’s feeling “so many different things.”
“A part of me wants to just lay up in my bed and hide from the world and hide from everything, but I can’t do that because I made an obligation to take my brother on this trip that we have had planned for so long and we have been so excited for it,” Reagan said. “My brother’s been packed for a week, and I am not gonna take away this opportunity from either of us. We’re not doing that. So I’m very excited to go and take a step back and use this trip to heal.”
Despite being excited about the trip, Reagan shared that she’s not sure how she will be feeling moving forward.
“I’m taking it day by day. I’m grieving again. Breakups are grief. I don’t want you guys to choose a side. You guys have zero context of the situation to even make a decision if there were sides,” she said.
“I’m sending Mirko so much love, and I want to see him crush it like I’ve always wanted for him. I have always wanted to bring Mirko with me everywhere, because he saved my life. And you know what? I saved his, too,” Reagan said. “But it didn’t work out that way right now.”
Reagan shared that she unfollowed Mormile on social media as she heals because seeing his content “hurts” and she wants to be able to “regulate” her emotions.
“We need to heal. We’re real people, and it’s a lot,” she concluded. “If you know the whole story of where me and Mirko come from and how we met and the whole story … It’s a huge, huge loss on both ends.”
