Rob Kardashian is enjoying a private life away from the spotlight amid his recent public reunion with the Kardashian family.
“Rob’s doing really well and is very healthy,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly.
The former reality star remerged earlier this week in a new family photo shared by his sister Khloé Kardashian on Tuesday, June 30. Rob, 39, smiled alongside his daughter Dream, 9, as they posed with his mother, Kris Jenner, and sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloé, 42. (Rob shares Dream with his ex Blac Chyna.)
The insider suggested that this new family photo was proof of how close Rob and Khloé have grown during his years outside the spotlight.

“[Rob] has had his struggles but is in a great place right now,” the source told Us. “He’s closest with Khloe and spends a lot of time at her house with Dream. They joke they are one little family raising Dream together. Khloe keeps him in check and tries to get him to workout and stay on track with his health and wellbeing.”
While fans have not been able to keep up with Rob on The Kardashians in recent years, he has been focused on building a healthy and fulfilling life for himself and Dream, per the insider.
“He has a great mindset and has been focusing on improving himself these last few years,” they noted. “Rob has many business ventures that he’s working on or investing in, and is really trying to stay out of the spotlight.”
As for Rob’s love life these days, the insider confirmed, “He was dating someone on and off recently who is really low-key and not famous. He’s single right now and enjoying this time being a dad and living a low-key life.”
Rob may not have entirely left his family’s reality TV empire behind either, as fans can expect to see him pop up in a limited capacity on The Kardashians season 8.
“We will see a glimpse of him on the show next season but he prefers to not be a main storyline,” the source hinted.
Rob most recently made a few brief appearances in The Kardashians season 7, including joining his siblings in the season premiere to bid farewell to their old family home.
He popped up again in the season 7 finale when Kim, 45, video-called him to share how excited fans were to see his cameo in a Kardashian trailer.
“They are swooning and freaking out,” she told Rob, who joked, “They are not fangirling.”
An off-camera producer then asked Rob whether the enthusiasm was enough to convince him to return to The Kardashians for season 8.
“I would hope to be on season 8,” he told them in the scene. “I definitely want to film on season 8.”
The Kardashians airs on Hulu.
