Cutting the friendship bracelets? According to Politico, Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton are putting a hold on their friendship while their parents race to the White House. (We’re guessing Donald Trump’s zingers about Bill Clinton cheating on wife Hillary didn’t help.)

The GOP front-runner’s daughter, 34, and democratic hopeful’s only child, 36, became close pals years ago after they were first introduced by their husbands. But according to Politico, they’ve decided to hold off on hanging out or being spotted together in public given the presidential race.

According to a Politico source, the two woman understand it’s strictly politics. “I don’t think she blames Ivanka,” a Chelsea source told the site, referring to the fashion designer’s no-holds-barred father.

Ivanka, for her part, has opted to distance herself from the former Apprentice star and business mogul’s political rants since the beginning of his campaign.

“I’m not part of his campaign, and he’s kept me very busy working alongside my brothers and running the organization,” the pregnant star told CNN last month. “I’ll leave policy to him, but I can speak from my vantage point as a child and a colleague. He’s been an amazing parent.”
