Fighting for justice! Babe actor James Cromwell was arrested during a power plant protest in New York on Friday, December 18.

The 75-year-old Emmy award winner looked defiant and raised his fist as New York State police handcuffed him and five other protesters and removed them from the power plant construction site they had obstructed.

According to the Times Herald-Record, Cromwell, a known animal rights and environmental activist, led a group of about 30 protesters in a chant before he was taken into custody for blocking the entrance to the Competitive Power Ventures power plant.

The actor was shouting, “Power to the people! Power to the people!” the Times Herald-Record reports.

Cromwell has had a career spanning six decades and appeared in such TV shows as American Horror Story and films including The Green Mile, Star Trek: First Contact and The Artist.

He was previously arrested in 2013, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, after interrupting a board meeting to protest a school research project that involved experiments on cats.

Cromwell and the five other protesters are expected to appear in court in January.
