Jana Kramer Suffered Injuries During ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Premiere: ‘I’m Gonna Fight Through It’

Danger on the dance floor! Even though Dancing With the Stars just premiered this past Monday, September 12, one celeb has already injured herself trying to twist and turn on the dance floor.

Former One Tree Hill star Jana Kramer posted a photo of herself with DWTS partner Gleb Savchenko on Thursday, September 15, with a caption giving fans a health update.

“Getting ready for week 2 with @glebsavchenkoofficial @dancingabc #dwts (for those of you asking. I sprained my rib muscles but I’m a tough cookie and I’m gonna fight through it. Thanks for the love!!!)” she captioned an arresting photo of the pair leaning nonchalantly against a bright red wall with the DWTS logo on it.

A DWTS rep confirms to Us that Kramer, 32, suffered from an injury during the hit ABC show’s premiere. Savchenko, also 32, reposted the actress and country music singer’s Instagram photo to his own account.

On the September 12 premiere, the pair performed the “raunchiest, sexiest, hottest” Viennese waltz ever, according to judge Bruno Tonioli. “Can you two do it all over again, please,” the enthusiastic panelist said while giving the duo feedback after their performance. “I just want to make sure I wasn’t having an X-rated fantasy.”

“I think this show will help me let my guard down,” Kramer said as part of the pretaped portion of the episode. “My personal life kind of took a hit. I have recently separated from my husband. I really think this process is going to be a huge healing process for me.”

The actress posted a cryptic Instagram video to her account on Wednesday, September 14, shot at pal Carrie Underwood’s concert during a rousing rendition of “Before He Cheats.”

Dancing With the Stars season 23 airs on ABC on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
