Jason Aldean ain’t ready to quit—on Brittany Kerr. The country singer’s relationship with his former mistress-turned-girlfriend is getting pretty serious, despite the fact that his kids consider her “the other woman,” an insider reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
“Jason is working Brittany into Kendyl and Keeley’s lives, yet they see her as the other woman,” an Aldean source tells Us. “It’s hard. They’re important to him.”
Aldean, 37, rocked the country world back in September 2012 when he was photographed making out with the American Idol alum, 27, while still married to wife Jessica Ussery. Seven months later, Aldean filed for divorce from his 34-year-old high school sweetheart after 12 years of marriage. (The exes share daughters Keeley, 11, and Kendyl, 6.)
“It’s tough for Jessica when they have to spend time with Brittany,” another insider explains of the situation. She “just wants to protect them,” the insider says.
Aldean, meanwhile, recently made a bold statement with his new love. The pair held hands as they made their red carpet debut at the CMT Music Awards in Las Vegas on June 4.
“Jason is a relationship guy,” the Aldean source adds to Us. “I can see him settling down with Brittany.”
