Around the block, the Hamilton cast were also taking the opportunity to remember the legendary and truly unique performer, ending their show with an exuberant dance set to his classic hit, "Let's Go Crazy."
Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda had taken to Twitter earlier in the day to express his sadness at the news of Prince's passing.
"Step away from your computer. Walk around, blast some Prince. It's the only thing that has saved my day, it may save yours."
Hudson took to Twitter after her performance to share some videos of her performance.
