For her 25th birthday, Jennifer Lawrence got Kris Jenner in her hotel bedroom! Confused fans were shocked by the Instagram photo that the momager, 59, posted on Aug. 22, hamming it up with the Oscar winner.
But a source tells Us Weekly that the entire get-together was planned by Lawrence’s pals, who know that she’s obsessed with the Kardashians.
"Jen celebrated her birthday with a bunch of her closest friends at a private home in the Hills. Her friends actually reached out to Kris Jenner to invite her to celebrate Jen's birthday since Jen is such a reality TV junkie and loves Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” the source tells Us.
Naturally, Jenner went out of her way to accommodate her A-list fan, having just returned from her family’s soon-to-be-televised vacation to St. Barts.
"Kris arrived after just having landed back in L.A.,” the source continues. ”She was drinking lots of white wine and got very tipsy. She even got to a point where she said, 'I have to stop drinking!' Kris asked Jen to be her date to the FYF Fest Sunday to see Kanye [West] perform too!"
Lawrence and Jenner didn’t just hang out in bed together. The unlikely pals also had plenty of hotel activities to help ring in the Hunger Games star’s birthday, which was on Aug. 15.
"Jen really had a blast laughing and dancing with Kris,” the insider said. “They even did karaoke together and just laughed the whole night."
This meet up has been a long time in the making. Back in January, Kris’ daughter Kim Kardashian opened up about her first encounter with Lawrence to The Sun, saying, "I was in NYC and I ran into Jennifer Lawrence. We said, 'Hi' and walked into the elevator and as the doors were closing. She screamed across the lobby, 'I love your show!' We were laughing so hard."
