Jennifer Lopez is shutting down speculation about her off-screen chemistry with Office Romance costar Brett Goldstein.
Lopez, 56, and Goldstein, 45, appeared on the Tuesday, June 2, episode of Today to discuss their upcoming rom-com when host Savannah Guthrie played a clip of the “On the Floor” singer telling Andy Cohen that Goldstein is the “best kisser” out of all her costars.
“[Andy] always corners you into saying something,” Lopez told Guthrie, 54.
Guthrie then asked Lopez about the dating rumors surrounding her and the Ted Lasso star because of the pair’s undeniable chemistry in Office Romance, which begins streaming on Netflix on Friday, June 5.
“You know what everyone’s saying: That it might be real [between you],” Guthrie pointed out.
Lopez dodged the question at first, telling Guthrie, “There’s never a time where I am seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don’t try to put me with the person.”
Goldstein joked, “I think if you stand near her, that’s what happens. … That’s why I’ve been standing so close to her.”
When Guthrie pointed out that this wasn’t a direct answer from either of them, Lopez responded, “It was an answer. Because all these people … I think I was with Kevin Costner this year. It happens all the time. Doesn’t make it true.”
Lopez then insisted, “[We’re] not dating.”
In Office Romance, Lopez plays business owner Jackie Cruz, who has a strict no-fraternization policy for her employees. However, when lawyer Daniel Blanchflower (Goldstein) begins working for her, she finds herself testing the policy’s boundaries.
Though things heated up between Lopez and Goldstein on camera, the Atlas star has made it clear that she’s enjoying single life IRL following her divorce from Ben Affleck.
“I am [single now],” Lopez said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on May 27. “I should have done it sooner! I’ve been doing it all wrong. Trust me. … I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. It’s fantastic. I love it.”
Lopez added, “I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day, if they’re good enough. … I’m good right now. I’m happy.”
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, 53, in August 2024, two years after the pair tied the knot. The split was finalized in January 2025.
In March, Lopez opened up about resetting following her fourth divorce. (The “Let’s Get Loud” singer was previously married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, Criss Judd from 2001 to 2003 and Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014.)
“I took a year off,” she said on Good Morning America. “I canceled tours. I decided to just be home and sit in what had happened without running away from it through work, through another person, through anything. Just sit.”
Lopez added, “I was just at a point where I was like, ‘What is going on with you?’ I couldn’t blame anybody else because I don’t think that’s where the lesson is. And so, I really needed to figure myself out.”
