You do you, girl! Jennifer Lopez revealed to Meredith Viera during an interview on The Meredith Viera Show on Monday, Sept. 8, that she's single and that's the way she likes it — for now.
"I'm just being on my own. I feel like I need that right now," the mom of two said when asked about her relationship status. "I've been in relationships kind of back-to-back my whole life and I just needed time."
"I need time to just chill and just know me and enjoy my kids and actually make time for other friends instead of just the relationship thing," the "I Luh Ya Papi" singer, who split from Casper Smart after two and half years together this past June, told the talk show host.
Lopez, who recently released her eighth album A.K.A, added, "All of a sudden, all the relationships in your life and everything starts working when you take care of yourself."
Despite sounding like she's got it all figured out, Marc Anthony's ex-wife admitted not even she wakes up like that.
"This morning it took a minute to put all of this together," Lopez laughed. "Nobody's perfect all the time and certainly not me. I wake up and I think to myself, ‘Oh my God. Put it together Lopez. Let's go!'"
