One is never enough! Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald opened up about their impending bundle of joy during a recent interview at the Southern Women’s Show in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday, Aug. 29, and the couple revealed that they’ve already got plans for a bigger family in store.
When asked how many kids they would like in the future, Seewald joked that they’d like to have 20 to show up the Duggar family.
“Well, I’m not giving birth to that many, but we want to adopt,” Jessa, 22, told Us Weekly.
Of her recent pregnancy, Jessa added that she’s been craving ice cream, and has the occasional hankering for smoothies.
The pair, who got married in November 2014 and announced their pregnancy in April, have been vigilantly documenting their first pregnancy, sharing ultrasound photos and blogging about life with the baby-to-be.
“Baby Seewald is growing steadily and Mommy has been feeling some little, yet strong, kicks,” Jessa blogged on June 17. “Can’t wait to welcome this little blessing from God into the world.”
But the couple isn’t so sold on returning to the world of reality TV.
“I don’t know…if people want to watch us, I don’t mind, but I want to live a peacefully quiet life and just serve the Lord and if people find that interesting, then awesome, but I won’t seek that out myself,” Seewald told Us.
Jessa’s brother, Josh Duggar, is currently making headlines following multiple scandals, including charges of molestation and a more recent revelation that he cheated on his wife of seven years, Anna, and has an addiction to pornography. He is currently checked into a long-term rehab facility.
When asked about the best marriage advice they’ve ever received, the couple pointed to being thoughtful about the other person.
“We all have selfishness in our hearts, it’s in our nature,” Seewald said. “But always thinking more about the other person and how we can make their life easier is important.”
