Duggar, 23, commemorated the occasion by sharing a photo of herself with her spouse via Instagram. "Celebrating our 'Skypiversary,'" she captioned the picture. "One year ago today my husband and I Skyped for the first time!"

Back in August 2013, Dillard, 25, was working as a missionary in Nepal when he and the TLC reality star first connected. As she told ABC News at the time of their engagement in April, they began their relationship over long-distance chats on Skype.

"When my dad first introduced Derick and I [remotely], we spent hours texting, calling, and talking on Skype while 8,000 miles away from each other," she explained. "And when we finally met in person in Nepal, we knew within days that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together."

They vowed to do just that earlier this summer, at their wedding in late June. In the weeks since, they've documented their newfound domestic bliss with several photos on Instagram of date nights, home-cooked meals, and even a road trip to Tennessee.

They're not the only ones in the family with something to celebrate, either. As previously reported, Jill's younger sister Jessa got engaged to her boyfriend, Ben Seewald, last week, just days after their "11 monthiversary."

"Congratulations on your engagement @jessaseewald @ben_seewald!" Jill tweeted. "We are so happy for y'all!"
