Their prayers have been answered. Jinger Duggar opened up about her wedding to Jeremy Vuolo on Saturday, November 5, in a video message the couple shared with fans via TLC.
“We are overjoyed to announce that we are now husband and wife,” Vuolo, 29, says in the video clip as he turns to Jinger, 22. “It was surreal when you said ‘I do.’”
Jinger is similarly ecstatic about their newlywed status, and tells the camera, “It’s incredible to see us at this place when we’ve prayed about this for so long and we just longed for the day where we were married, and now God’s given us our heart’s desire and our prayer. … He’s just so graciously given [this] to us.”
The lovebirds tied the knot in a romantic wedding ceremony in Arkansas on Saturday in front of approximately 1,000 family and friends — including older brother Josh and his wife, Anna.
“Jim Bob Duggar said it was the most beautiful wedding he has seen,” a source tells Us of the ceremony. “They had around 2,000 handpicked flowers for the wedding — they spelled out the letter V.”
According to the insider, guests noshed on meatballs, cheese, crackers and veggies at the reception, with three flavors of cupcakes for dessert: chocolate, cranberry and pumpkin.
“There was no first dance at the reception, no dancing at all,” the source added, citing the family’s religious background. Additionally, both Vuolo’s and Jinger’s fathers made speeches.
The happy couple met in May 2015 and got engaged in July this year, just one month after announcing their courtship. “So excited to share this news that we are now engaged,” the pair told Us in a statement at the time. “From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we’ve received during the courtship.”
