Jodie Sweetin is offering an update on former Full House costar Dave Coulier after his tongue cancer battle.

“He’s doing great,” Sweetin, 44, told People at the Scleroderma Research Foundation’s Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine fundraising event on Tuesday, October 13. “We did an arts fundraiser for arts programs in Detroit called The Coney that we went out there and did. It was so much fun, and he’s doing great.”

Sweetin noted that Coulier, 67, has had “such a tough battle,” adding, “Sitting around and having coffee with him in the morning meant so much.”

At the event on Tuesday, fellow Full House alum John Stamos was honored with the Bob Saget Legacy Award. Coulier, for his part, appeared in a prerecorded video to honor Stamos, 63. (Bob Saget died at age 65 in 2022 from blunt head trauma after an accidental fall.)

“I’m so sorry that I can’t be there at the Scleroderma Research Foundation’s Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine event because … well, I’m here on a tractor in Michigan,” Coulier said. “I want to congratulate you, John, on receiving the Bob Saget Legacy Award. You and Bob have always been like beautiful sisters to me, and I love you very much.”

Coulier concluded with an impression of Stamos, adding, “And you Scleroderma people, man, you sure know how to put on a great show. So enjoy the rest of the night and raise lots of money.”

In December 2025, Coulier announced that doctors had diagnosed him with HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer that October. Coulier’s battle was “totally unrelated” to his previous diagnosis of stage III non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

“To go through chemotherapy and feel that relief of, ‘Whoa, it’s gone.’ And then to get a test that says, ‘Well, now you’ve got another kind of cancer,’” he said on the Today show in December 2025. “It is a shock to the system.”

Stamos shared his support for his Full House costar at the time.

“How about this guy? He is my hero, he is my No. 1 inspiration,” Stamos said during an interview on a December 2025 episode of the Today show, adding that the pair had reunited recently. “I was with him last weekend and he’s great. He’s Dave and he’s beautiful. It sounds weird, but if anyone would have to go through this, he’s a good one because he can really inspire and talk to the world and show that with good will and love, you can make it through.”

In February, Coulier shared that he is in remission for both cancers.

“It’s been a roller-coaster ride for sure,” Coulier said during an appearance on Good Morning America at the time. “I’m in remission with both cancers. And what a journey this has been.”
