Joe Jackson: Michael’s Kids Could Be Performers

Joe Jackson predicts Michael Jackson's children could wind up in the entertainment business just like their famous father.

"I keep watching Paris," he said of the 11-year-old girl (who spoke at the Tuesday memorial service) on ABC's Good Morning America Friday. "She wants to do something."

Michael Prince II — the 7-year-old known as Blanket — "can really dance," Joe said. "That's what they're saying. He can really dance."

Asked who should have custody of Michael's three children, Joe said, "The grandmother, Katherine, and I. There's no one else to do what we can do for them.

"We should keep them all together and make them happy," he went on. "And feed them like they're supposed to be fed. And let them get rest … and grow up to be strong Jacksons."

Katherine remains the children's temporary legal guardian until a July 13 hearing.

Joe said she is taking Michael's June 25 death "real hard. When we start talking about Michael, she starts crying."

Asked to name his favorite memory of Michael, he said it's the fact that his son was "the greatest entertainer that ever lived. They only come along once in a lifetime, and he was it."
