Jack Sparrow, is that you? Johnny Depp stole the show (and not in a good way!) while presenting at the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards on Friday, Nov. 14. The Into the Woods actor slurred his words in a bizarre curse-filled speech, and had to be bleeped several times during the CBS live broadcast.
"That's the weirdest microphone I've ever seen. I'm not really good at this kind of thing," Depp, 51, told the crowd. "I mean, it's not of those nights." The star fumbled with the microphone and continued to ramble what was written on the teleprompter even after CBS appeared to cut him off.
Depp's odd behavior took place toward the end of the show while introducing talent manager Shep Gordon and presenting Mike Myers with the Hollywood Documentary Award for his film Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star quickly began to trend on Twitter, and was accused of being drunk on stage. Myers, however, laughed off the situation. He reportedly said backstage that Depp's introduction was "very rock 'n roll."
As for fellow attendee Julie Chen? Not as much. The Talk co-host, who is married to CBS president Leslie Moonves, looked "seething mad" at her table, an onlooker tells Us.
