Fergie's name change became official on Friday, which was news to her husband. Josh Duhamel discovered that Stacy Ann Ferguson had become Fergie Duhamel online.
"I actually found out [through the media]," he told omg! while promoting the Valspar Hearts and Hands for Habitat charity campaign. "It was so sweet. It was her plan for a while, but she finally found the time. When the baby comes she wanted all of us to have the last name. It was very sweet."
Fergie, 38, could give birth any day now and the "Scenic Route" actor admitted he is "scared s–tless" at the thought of fatherhood.
"Everyone has advice, but I'm always happy to hear it," he told omg! when asked if he's received any good daddy tips from his famous pals.
We obviously gave Josh one very important piece of advice: He's got to get Fergie a push present!
"If ever a woman deserves a present, it's for carrying a baby for nine months," Duhamel, 40, laughed. "I definitely will do something special."
(Hint: Make it sparkle.)
Josh only had praise for his wife, whom he said has been "unbelievable" while carrying her first child.
"She has really taken to [pregnancy]," he said. "It's unbelievable. It's been pretty [drama free]. She's happy, seems to be in great spirits, and is more beautiful than ever."

And in case you need further proof that Josh is basically perfect? He spent Monday morning with Valspar Paint and Habitat for Humanity to launch Valspar Hearts & Hands for Habitat in New York City. The program auctions off the colorful handprints of celebrities and notable personalities created with Valspar Paint via the Valspar Facebook Page. The auction benefits Habitat for Humanity’s Disaster Response program and is live now through August.
