It’s likely no easy task having one of Hollywood’s biggest multi-hyphenates as an ex-boyfriend. Julianne Hough, who dated Ryan Seacrest for over two years before splitting in March 2013, told Allure magazine that it’s impossible to avoid running into her ex.

"It's hard not to — he's everywhere," the April 2015 cover girl told Allure of Seacrest. Although she has moved on (Hough is now dating hockey player Brooks Laich), the Dancing With the Stars judge said it took some time.

"A little while after [I cut my hair for 2013’s Safe Haven], when I cut ties with my relationship," Hough said, "I chopped more. It was about changing it up and beginning fresh — in the movie but in real life, also.”

The dancing pro didn’t just get a fresh start romantically either. Hough revealed she now starts each day by reciting her “power virtues.”

"A power virtue is who you want to be. I say the words, 'I am' beforehand," she explained, adding that last year, her goal was to be more honest. “[This year I say] ‘I am determined,’ ‘I am passionate,’ ‘I am grateful,’ and ‘I am love.’"

Speaking of honesty, the blonde also admitted that she “had no idea” what she was doing when it came to wearing that 2013 blackface Halloween costume.

"Ignorance is sometimes not bliss…It was all out of fun and respect for the character," Hough said of her Orange Is the New Black’s Crazy Eyes costume. "I don't even know how to talk about it because it's such a sensitive topic. It makes me so sad to think that I was that dumb. I learned a big lesson."
